Wagner joins West Central Initiative in Fergas Falls

Greg Wagner has accepted a position with West Central Initiative (WCI) as economic development planner.

He began his duties on Sept. 15. Wagner will be assisting communities across west central Minnesota with economic development and community development issues.

As part of that work, he will help communities apply for federal economic development funding and will share best practices in community planning and development.

Wagner comes to WCI with a strong background in economic development and city planning. Most recently he served as planner for the City of Baxter, Minn.

A Fergus Falls, Minn. native, he received the Bachelor of Arts degree in local and urban affairs from St. Cloud State University in 2000.

"We're happy to welcome Greg back to his hometown and to the region," said Wayne Hurley, WCI planning director. "Greg's experience in city planning and his extensive work with developers, residents and public officials are great assets for WCI and for west central Minnesota."
