Roger Tinjum recognized for 45 years on the job

Rodger K. Tinjum, ARA (Accredited Rural Appraiser) with Tinjum Appraisal Company, Inc. in Detroit Lakes was recently recognized by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) for 45 years of membership within the organization.

Tinjum is an agricultural professional who provides services for clients, which may include farm and ranch management, rural appraisal and agricultural consulting.

The ASFMRA represents nearly 2,000 agribusiness professionals across the U.S. and Canada.

Before starting up his own appraisal business 45 years ago, Tinjum worked for MNDOT.

He will be celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife, Marilyn on June 17.

The couple, who have been living in Detroit Lakes since 1966, have four children; Brian Tinjum, Kevin Tinjum and Carolyn Herman all live in the Detroit Lakes area, and their daughter, Beth, lives in Shakopee.
