Sanford welcomes new doctor to DL
Dr. Ram Kafle has joined Sanford Health Detroit Lakes Clinic.
Dr. Kafle attended medical school at the Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Prior to joining Sanford in August, he was completing his residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Dr. Kafle chose Sanford because it is a large health care system that is persistently growing. This creates more opportunity and possibility for better health, emphasizing patient-centered health care, always keeping the patient first.
His goal is to treat patients with respect and dignity and provide the highest level of care he can.
Dr. Kafle strongly believes that Sanford will help fulfill that goal.
He chose Detroit Lakes because he and his wife like the size and find it to be a beautiful community. With family and friends being of high importance, he will remain close enough to travel and visit a brother who lives in St. Paul and stay connected with a friend, who is also a physician living and working in Detroit Lakes.
Dr. Kafle and his wife have a 2-month-old daughter and feel safe to raise her in this beautiful community.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, biking, hiking and photography.
