Apex Engineering Group wins excellence awards
Apex Engineering Group's Transportation and Water Groups, in conjunction with the City of Fargo and the City of Dickinson, were awarded two 2017 ACEC ND Engineering Excellence Awards.
The selection committee recognized Apex and the City of Fargo for the work completed on Thirteenth Avenue South from 38th Street to 45th Street in the Transportation category. Apex had the privilege of providing design and construction engineering services for improvements to one of the busiest corridors in the state of North Dakota, as it provides access to a thriving business and retail district. The reconstruction of this roadway was necessary to improve safety, mobility and capacity for the traveling public. The updated section will efficiently handle the 30,000 vehicles that utilize this stretch daily.
The Dickinson Reuse Booster Station was selected in the Water and Wastewater category by the ACEC North Dakota selection committee. The City of Dickinson recognized the opportunity to utilize the treated waste product that came from the award-winning Water Reclamation Facility. With the reuse water pumping station and distribution system, the City is able to sell the effluent from the Water Reclamation Facility to multiple industries in an area where water is scarce, allowing more businesses to move into the region knowing that they have a water source available. While other cities in North Dakota provide reuse water to one or two industries, this is the first area-wide reuse water distribution system in the state of North Dakota.
Apex has offices in Bismarck, Dickinson, and Fargo, North Dakota and Detroit Lakes and provides consulting engineering and surveying services to clients in the transportation, water, municipal and facilities markets throughout North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.
