Dissatisfied with your job? Wondering about enrolling in college or changing your college major?

Minnesota State Community and Technical College is sponsoring Career Exploration Workshops on its four campuses during July.

The workshops are free and open to high school and college students and to adults who would like to explore their career and education options.

Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, in Detroit Lakes; Wednesday, July 17, in Fergus Falls; Thursday, July 18, in Wadena; and Tuesday, July 23, in Moorhead.

The workshops will be from 1-3 p.m. on the M State campuses in all four communities.

Led by M State counselors Tom Dubbels and Maronda Robertson, participants will have the opportunity to:

Complete personality and interest assessments and review results.

Explore career options.

Learn to use online career search resources.

“As career counselors, we want to help students find the right career so they feel like they get to go to work, rather than have to go to work,” Robertson said.

The events are free but registration is required. To sign up for a workshop, visit For more information, contact Robertson at or 218-299-6618.
