M State BES offering variety of workshops
Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Business and Entrepreneurial Services, is offering workshops in November that cover a variety of topics.
On Monday, Nov. 1, the class "The Art of Strategy and Tactics" will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in room C 102. This hands-on, practical workshop taught by instructor Kelly Pratt is the final installment of classes using creativity to develop clarity in business. The cost for this workshop is $60, which includes materials.
"Microsoft Publisher Basics -- Learning how to Use Publisher" will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8 in room C 103. Instructor AnneMarie Lacher will help participants develop Publisher skills to effectively learn how to master this software to use it in business to create simple but effective marketing tools. Participants are asked to bring laptops or indicate at registration if they need computers provided. This workshop requires basic knowledge and familiarity of computers and Microsoft Office products. The cost for this workshop is $40.
"Marketing Magic with Microsoft Publisher" is slated for Monday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. in room C 103. This advanced workshop will teach how to execute documents in Publisher that will allow participants to create logos, do branding, create useful marketing documents, include brochures, posters, business cards and more. Laptops will be needed for this class. This workshop requires basic knowledge and familiarity of computers and Microsoft Office products. The cost for this class is $40.
