Digital media ad rep takes on more duties

Sales and digital media consultant Nick Omberg is now taking on additional responsibilities in the "ever-evolving online world."

Omberg who works for the Detroit Lakes Newspapers is now an online coordinator who will help other representative schedule and present ads to prospective online advertisers.

"The online aspect of advertising has really exploded in the last year and all ad reps, including myself, had questions about the functionality of it all," he said. "I think it became very apparent that we needed a person locally to address questions to. I was fortunate enough to be asked to be this person."

Omberg is excited for the added responsibilities, the future of online advertising and helping educate advertisers on the benefits of online advertising.

"Once we accomplish this, the opportunities are endless," he said.
