Rural Electric Association names Pemberton

The Minnesota Rural Electric Association has named Pemberton Law as its new legal counsel.  MREA’s prior legal counsel, Hap LeVander, is slated to retire in June, thus the search for new representation.

MREA named Pemberton after a competitive selection process which included proposals from numerous firms from the Twin Cities.

Pemberton’s representation of MREA will utilize a team approach with three primary attorneys: Kent D. Mattson of Pemberton’s Fergus Falls office, Daniel T. Carlisle of Pemberton’s Wadena office, and Paul R. Johnson of Pemberton’s Alexandria office.

All three attorneys have a significant amount of legal experience in representing rural electric cooperatives, including Runestone, Crow Wing Power, Lake Region, Todd-Wadena and Itasca-Mantrap.
