After historic college basketball upset, Little Caesar’s announces free pizza giveaway to everyone in America

The original story of the 1950 Disney classic “Cinderella” never included pizza. Thanks to Little Caesar’s, the 2018 version does.

The Detroit-based nationwide pizza chain announced in a statement and a tweet on Friday evening, March 16, that: “Because ‘CRAZY HAPPENED’ with a #16 beating a #1 (!!!!), everyone in America gets a free #LittleCaesars Lunch Combo on Monday, April 2nd.”

In case you missed it, the 2018 Cinderella of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, the University of Maryland Baltimore County, made NCAA men’s basketball tournament history when they became the first ever 16-seed to defeat a No. 1-seed. The game was never close, as UMBC cruised to a 20-point victory over the top-ranked Virginia Cavaliers 74-54.

To take advantage of the Little Caesar’s free pizza promotion, you’ll want to make sure you follow the list of rules the pizza chain has laid out for its participants.

To qualify for the free pizza giveaway on Monday, April 2, 2018, you must place your order between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. local time in-store only. Any order placed after 1 p.m. will not be fulfilled, according to Little Caesar’s.

Participants are limited to one promotional item, which includes four slices of DEEP!DEEP! Dish pepperoni pizza and a 20 ounce Pepsi product, per family.

Custom orders are not available as a promotional item.
