DL Library has three free classes to offer

Detroit Lakes Library will offer three free computer classes during the month of September. Computer classes are open to the public, but space is limited. Please call Detroit Lakes Library at 847-2168 to register.

Searching the LARL Catalog and Online Databases

Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 10:30 a.m. to noon -- Learn how to search for materials by title, author, subject, keyword, limit by location and/or material type and how to put in a request. Learn about online databases. Prerequisite: Computer Basics class or ability to use a mouse. Limit 6.


Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. -- If you have knowledge of the internet and an intermediate level of computer expertise, this class is for you! We will locate quilting resources on the Internet and learn to print and save quilting patterns. Limit 6

Beginning Genealogy

Friday, Sept. 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. -- This class will explore ways to find information beyond births, deaths, and marriages. We'll explore genealogical information available on-line, including genealogy databases found on the larl Web site. Future generations will thank you for getting into this hobby. Limit 6.
