Since the tornado, many have wanted to lend a helping hand and were waiting for an opportunity to serve.

The chance came on Monday, July 19, for 4-Hers to assist with clean up at the Wadena County Fairgrounds. With only a week away until their annual county fair, a plea was sent out to invite neighboring counties to join in the effort to hand pick debris left from the devastating June storm. Much of it had been cleaned up, only to be spread around again by heavy winds that swept through last week.

Becker County sent a delegation to assist and were joined by 4-H members from Hubbard, Todd, East Ottertail and Wadena counties.
