Frazee robotics team to hold fundraiser on Friday; $20K needed to compete at World Championship
The Frazee High School robotics team, KAOTIC Robotics, plans to compete at the robotics World Championship in Detroit, Michigan, later this month.
The team qualified after taking part in two regional competitions and being named Champion at both. These regional competitions were: the Great Northern Regional in Grand Forks, N.D., Feb. 28 - March 3, and the Lake Superior Regional in Duluth, Minn., March 7-10.
The team’s overall record for the season is 32-2.
In order to compete at the World Championship, which is being held April 24-29, KAOTIC Robotics will need to raise about $20,000 to cover competition fees, travel expenses, hotel, food and other costs.
To help raise these funds, the team is holding a chili and baked potato bar fundraiser, with a silent auction, at Frazee High School on Friday, April 6. Food will be served from 4-7:30 p.m., and the silent auction will end at 7 p.m.
