The Detroit Lakes wrestlers and the Jaycees women took home the gold despite chilly conditions in the Northwest Water Carnival water fights Wednesday night at City Park in Detroit Lakes.

The wrestlers beat out the Detroit Lakes Police Department, while the Jaycees women won the title by taking out the Lakeshirts women.

In the grudge matches of the evening, the police department beat the Detroit Lakes Fire department 2-1 in a nail biter. The Jaycee men also took out the Jaycee women in a friendly rivalry match-up.

In addition, the Admiral's hat was found Wednesday by Brian Halstensgaard. It was under the bleachers at Snappy Park.

The 74th Annual Northwest Water Carnival concludes Sunday afternoon with the Parade of the Northwest along Washington Avenue in Detroit Lakes.
