Haining Family to perform in Frazee Sunday

THE HAINING FAMILY, including Peggy, Mike and their children -- James, Ruth, Pearl and Grace -- will perform this Sunday, Dec. 12 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, starting at 7 p.m.

The Haining Family of Fergus Falls will be performing a Christmas and gospel concert at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.

The Haining Family sings front-porch family-style music -- their own blend of bluegrass, country, southern-gospel and folk music, which incorporates fine instruments with beautiful family harmonies, to create an event with something for every member of the family.

The family has been singing since 2004, and has appeared at many churches, festivals and community events throughout Minnesota and the upper Midwest.

The concert on Dec. 12 will feature many Christmas favorites, some old, some new, from a variety of genres, styles and eras. You will also hear some contemporary gospel songs done in the Haining's own style.

Other upcoming appearances by the Haining Family will include a performance as part of the KSAX Jingle Bells Triathlon in Alexandria on Saturday, Dec. 11; and at the Park Gardens Senior Living Center Residents Christmas Banquet in Fergus Falls on Thursday, Dec. 16.

Though there is no charge for admission, a free-will offering will be taken at the Dec. 12 concert.
