Perham library has art classes

Perham Area Public Library hosts the second of three art history programs on Monday, March 14, at 7:00-8:30 p.m. when artist and art educator Lorene McIntosh shares explores the history and influence of Renaissance art. Perham Area Public Library is located at 225 Second Avenue NE. Registration is requested by calling the library at 218-346-4892.

The free program is part of the "Bluestocking Salon" series offered for adults and teens in coming months at the library. The series concludes with a discussion on Impressionism on Monday, April 11. The program is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage fund, and is sponsored by Viking Library System, Perham Area Public Library, and the Kaddatz Galleries.

The "Bluestocking Salon: Art History for Real People" welcomes people from all levels of knowledge of art and art history. In addition to visual images of art from the time period and audience discussion, each program will feature the work of a regional artist whose style is influenced by the time period presented.
