Community mural project starts Monday in NYM

Please join Pam Robinson this Monday, June 23, as she leads a process to make a community mural on the Sugar Creek Woodworking building behind the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center.

Bring your ideas and creative energy to help make a mural that will tell a story about New York Mills. You can determine how you want to help -- ideas are welcome, painting too! Or, just kibitzing is OK as well.

Painting times are scheduled through August in the morning (between 8 a.m. and noon) and in the early evening (4 to 8 p.m.). Just stop in to see what is going on!

This activity is funded by the Lake Region Arts Council and the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund Cultural Heritage Fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on Nov. 4, 2008.

The Cultural Center is located at 24 Main Ave. N. in New York Mills. For more information, please call 218-385-3339.
