17-year-old girl hurt in one-vehicle crash near Fosston

A 17-year-old girl was injured in a one-vehicle crash Saturday evening near Fosston, Minn.

According to a spokesman for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Crookston, the girl was alone in the vehicle when the crash happened about six miles northeast of Fosston, which is about 69 miles southeast of East Grand Forks on U.S. Highway 2.


It happened at 6:49 p.m. Saturday.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Essentia Hospital in Fosston “for evaluation of her injuries,” according to the sheriff’s office.

A hospital spokeswoman said Sunday morning it appeared the girl had been released from the hospital.

Other information about the crash, including the girl’s name, was not released today by the sheriff’s office.
