2 charged in Hubbard County burglaries
Two Parks Rapids men were charged Monday in connection to multiple
burglaries in Hubbard County.
According to a press release from the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office,
Mitchell Raymond Bugge, 37, admitted having participated in burglarizing 23 cabins in Hubbard County and one in Becker County. All of the burglaries were committed in the last month.
A search warrant was executed at Bugge's residence. Investigators found
thousands of dollars worth of stolen property, including deer stands, TVs, propane tanks and heaters, chainsaws, tools, ammunition, an air compressor, trolling motors, fishing tackle and poles, a rifle and other items, according to the press release.
The investigation also produced a second suspect, Michael Gene Moorhouse, 29, who also stated he was involved with the burglaries, according to the press release.
Bugge was charged with 24 charges, including 23 counts of felony second-degree burglary and one charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Moorhouse was charged with 21 counts of felony second-degree burglary.
