The 4-Hers worked together to roll, cut out and bake cookies. With help from some of the Care Center’s residents, the cookies were beautifully frosted and decorated. A joyful time was had by all in the spirit of the Valentine’s season.

‘4-H Celebrates Agriculture’

The Minnesota 4-H Foundation hosts the first-ever “4-H Celebrates Agriculture” banquet at 6 p.m., on Thursday, March 20, in the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul.

The event is slated to bring agricultural and agri-business leaders together with 4-H members, families, donors and volunteers, as well as leadership of University of Minnesota Extension, through which 4-H operates.

Keynote speakers are Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Dave Fredrickson and Jennifer Sirangelo, CEO of the National 4-H Council. Entertainment will be provided by Dick Kimmel and Adam Granger.

The event is a prelude to Minnesota festivities celebrating National Agriculture Day on March 25 and features an all-Minnesota-grown menu. Individual tickets are $100 and can be purchased until March 10.
