HAWLEY -- Dakota Magic Casino Hotel presents the 50th Annual Hawley Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Championship Rodeo June 5-6 at 7 p.m.

The PRCA will bring more than 150 professional contestants from 11 states to compete in seven events as they try to qualify for the Wrangler National Finals in Las Vegas. Each performance matches the sport's toughest athletes against the Award Winning Stock of Mosbrucker Rodeos from Mandan, N.D. on the roughest playing field in America.

Professionals will compete in bareback riding, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, ladies' WPRA barrel racing, team roping and bull riding. There will also be mutton busting for 12 kids each night.

Featured contestants include World Champion Barrel Racer Sherri Cervi of Marana, Ariz., 4X Wrangler National Finalist Scott Montague in bareback riding and 4X Wrangler National Finalist Bobby Welsh in bull riding.

These contestants will be matched against the award-winning National Finals Bucking Stock of Mosbrucker Rodeos. At the 2007 Wrangler National Finals, Mosbrucker Rodeos won four awards.

Tickets to attend are available at the Cenex Zip Trip in Hawley or the Petro Travel Center on 45th Street in Fargo. Adult general admission is $15 day of show and only $12 in advance. Children ages 4 to 12 are only $5. Discount coupons for $2 off adult day of show tickets for June 5 are available at Subway in Hawley.

To top off each evening, there will be the Colgate Country Showdown Regional Finals on Friday and the Rodeo Dance Party with live music by "The Roosters" on Saturday.
