The 9th Annual KDLM Laker Open scheduled for Aug. 21 at DCC
The Ninth Annual KDLM Laker Open sponsored by Team Lab Golf Tournament event will be held Friday, Aug. 21, at the Detroit Country Club, starting at 1 p.m.
Last year, the event raised $25,000 for DLHS Laker athletics with over 200 golfers participating.
The money raised is used to support the 24 DL athletic teams at a time when several schools have had to cut sports programs due to lack of funds.
The tournament will be held at the DCC and the Lakeview Golf Course, with registration and lunch starting at noon.
The entry fee is $75 per player, which includes the green fee, lunch, a registration gift, one drink ticket, door prizes, on-course events, awards and a dinner consisting of heavy hors d'oeuvres.
The format will be all-scramble, with prizes being awards for both men's and women's divisions on both courses.
The tournament is open to the first 36 registered teams for each course (totaling 72 teams, consisting of up to four players).
