ACS awards 23 graduates academic scholarships
Twenty-three high school students within the Arvig Communication Systems service area have been selected to receive academic scholarships from the Royale B. and Eleanor M. Arvig Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Winners from this area include Grant Remmen of Detroit Lakes, Lindsay Bellanger of Detroit Lakes, who attends Waubun High School, Nickolas Krebsbach of Waubun, who attends Mahnomen High School, Melissa Warren of Ponsford, who attends school in White Earth, Benjamin Fuglie of Ulen, Nathanial Beaver of Perham, and Chloe Vab Duinen of Richville, who attends school in Battle Lake.
Each student will receive $750 per year, over four years, for a total of $3,000. This scholarship fund, which is sponsored by ACS, is awarded to students who demonstrate achievements and interest in numerous fields.
These include math, engineering, telecommunications, accounting, computer science, or any of the physical sciences.
