Agnes "Tootsie" Schulstad, 95, of Sauk Rapids, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services celebrating Agnes's life will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 12 at Eksjo Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 10 a.m. Friday at the church in Lake Park.
Lutheran prayers will be 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Agnes was born to John and Emma (Lindstrom) Olson on April 6, 1914 in Lake Park. She grew up in Lake Park and married Kenneth Schulstad in Las Vegas, Nev., on August 10, 1943. Agnes worked as a registered nurse at St. John's Hospital in Fargo and then as a school nurse.
After her children were born, Agnes was a homemaker. Agnes and Ken moved to St. Cloud in 1971. She moved to Sauk Rapids in 1993.
Agnes enjoyed crocheting, rosemaling, baking, game shows and the Minnesota Vikings. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.
Surviving Agnes are her children, Kathleen (Delbert) Brobst of St. Cloud, James (Kathryn) Schulstad of Austin, Minn., Richard Schulstad of Waite Park and Craig (Lois) Schulstad of Chanhassen; her brother, Paul (Lyla) Olson of Lake Park; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Prededing her in death were her parents; her husband, Kenneth (April 13, 1984); and her brother, John Olson.
Memorials are preferred sent to the donor's choice.
