Albert A. Srnsky, 93, of Osage passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at St. Mary's Innovis Health in Detroit Lakes.

Albert A. Srnsky, 93, of Osage passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at St. Mary's Innovis Health in Detroit Lakes.

Albert was born to Frank and Anne (Trnka) Srnsky on May 25, 1915 in Goodridge, Minn., where he received an eighth grade education in a country school near his home. His family moved to the Tabor-Angus (Minn.) area in the 1930s. Albert worked on the family farm and on neighboring farms.

Albert married Delvina Boutain on Oct. 29, 1940 and the young couple settled in the Angus, Minn., area, where they farmed and raised five children. In 1963 they sold their farm and moved the family to Kent, Wash., where Albert found employment in the public school system as a head maintenance man. In 1977 he retired and they returned to their beloved Minnesota. They lived on their daughter and son-in-law's farm in Osage, where he enjoyed and prospered in his retirement years.

Surviving Albert are his wife of 68 years, Delvina Srnsky of Osage; five children, Janet (Philip) Broesch of Hayden, Idaho, Kenneth (Nancy) Srnsky of Elkins, W.Va., Patsy (John) Randall of Osage, Kathy Srnsky of San Antonio, Texas, and Randy Srnsky of Kent, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Rosalie Callery of Kent, Wash.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Bill and Emil; and one sister, Alice.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids, with the Rev. Thomas Friedl officiating.

Casketbearers will be David Cameron, Josh Lage, Mike Thoreson, Delacey Randall, Randy Broesch and Jerod Randall. Interment will be in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Cemetery, Park Rapids.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids.
