Allan L. Kjos, 74, a former resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday April 18, 2014, at his home in Shakopee, under the care of Hospice and his loving family, following a battle with lung cancer.

He was born May 21, 1939, in Mahnomen, the son of Lloyd and Nora (Wang) Kjos. He grew up in Mahnomen, and grad-uated from Mahnomen High School in 1957. Al-lan served in the U.S. Navy, 1958-1961, serving on the ship, U.S.S. Carter Hall. He then attended business school, graduating in 1963.

On June 9, 1962, he married Rosemary Krebsbach in Ogema. He was a sales manager in the bread business, long standing with Metz Bak-ing Company in Fergus Falls and Pan O'Gold Bakery in Fargo. He re-tired in 1993. During his retirement years, he worked at County Market in Detroit Lakes, for his long-time friend Kathy Dixon.

He was a member of VFW Post 612, Eagles Post 2339, Knights of Columbus and the Jaycees. Allan enjoyed all things family, sports and relaxing; golfing, fishing, vacationing, working in the yard, basketball, foot-ball, and spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Terrance; a nephew, Timothy Kjos; a niece, Kelsey Kjos; and his mother and father-in-law, Edmund and Adelide Krebsbach.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary "Mary" Kjos of Shakopee; a daughter, Mary (Scott) Larson of Shakopee; a son, Jason (Mary Jo) Kjos of Lake City; grandchil-dren, Alicia, Matthew and Marc Kjos of Lake City, Nichelle Larson of Grand Forks, N.D., and Brynn Larson of Duluth; great-grandchild, Mahkona; siblings, Duwayne (Joyce) Kjos of North Carolina, Lloyd (Lynette) Kjos Jr. of California, Ann Marie (Al) Alcorn of California, Cindy (Kent) Johnson of South Dakota and David (Loni) Kjos of Minnesota; and brother-in-law, Bob (Pat) Krebsbach of Minnesota.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, with a pray-er service at 7 p.m.; visit-ation resumes one hour prior to Wednesday's ser-vices at the church.

Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Elizabeth, Minn., with Father Jeffrey Ethen officiating.

Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Mahnomen.
