Allegiant Air adding nonstop flights between Fargo and Orlando
FARGO - Allegiant Air is adding nonstop flights between Fargo and Orlando, Fla. starting Nov. 21.
Shawn Dobberstein, Hector International Airport executive director, announced the new air service this morning.
Flights to Orlando will run twice a week with service on Monday and Friday.
Flights will leave Fargo at 11:50 a.m., arriving in Orlando at 4:15 p.m. Flights will leave Orlando at 8:40 a.m. and arrive in Fargo at 11:10 a.m.
The airline is offering introductory fares of $119 each way. Round trip with fees included, the fares will be about $275.
Travelers have wanted to be able to fly nonstop to Orlando from Fargo for a long time, Dobberstein said.
This is the first nonstop flight offered between Fargo and Orlando. It is the sixth nonstop destination from Fargo, Dobberstein said.
The added air service reflects the strong business economy in the Fargo area, Dobberstein said. It will also help keep travelers from going to other markets, like Minneapolis, for air travel, he said.
