Cynthia "Andrea" Kaldahl, 55, of Vergas died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the Essentia Medical Health Hospital in Fargo.
She was born the daughter of Loren Richard and Berdine Juliete (Farrington) Carling on April 16, 1956 in Minneapolis. She graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis and went on to attend the University of Minnesota, majoring in liberal arts.
Andrea was employed at Soldotna, Alaska Public Schools as an art teacher, and also worked at Control Data.
On October 10, 1999, she married Steven Kaldahl at the Eckankar Church in Chanhassen, Minn. Andrea was baptized at Strawberry Lake in 2001.
Her interests included one on one counseling and attending various spiritual meetings including Firestarters and Christian Retreat.
Preceding her in death were her father, Loren and an infant daughter.
Surviving Andrea are her loving husband, Steve Kaldahl of Vergas; her mother, Berdine Carling; a son, Steve Hinz of Brooklyn Center; four sisters, Sherry (Jeff) Schopf of New Brighton, Georgia (Scott) Prebisch of Fridley, Jeanette Carling of St. Anthony, and Charlotte Bott of Sarosota, Fla.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Her family invites attendees to wear casual clothing at Andrea's celebration service, which is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23 at Fair Hills Resort in rural Vergas, with Pastor Brian Erickson officiating. There will be visitation for one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Vergas Village Cemetery, Vergas.
