Andrew Bachmann of Frazee wins top honors in auctioneers contest
Andrew Bachmann of Frazee was crowned the 2013 Minnesota State Auctioneers Association Champion Auctioneer on Jan. 17 in St. Cloud.
This was the 25th Annual Auctioneer Championship in Minnesota, and there were 24 contestants from Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
The contest consisted of one round of selling, then a final round of the top five contestants in which they conducted a live on-stage interview with three auction industry-related questions, then one more round of selling.
The winners were named by a panel of five judges, and the contestants were judged individually on their chant, presentation, clarity and overall salesmanship.
Bachmann, along with his brother Austin and their father Vince, are the first father and two sons to all have won the Minnesota State Auctioneers championship.
Bachmann lives in Frazee, where he works full time as a police officer (as well as part time as a police officer in Detroit Lakes) and he also works with his family's Auctioneering business, Bachmann Auctioneers.
