Angels head into playoffs

The Detroit Lakes Angels wrapped up their regular season with an 8-4 victory over visiting Wadena-Deer Creek Saturday at Washington Ballpark.

The Angels finish the season with a 15-6 record and a Hi-10 West championship and will start the league playoffs Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Washington Ballpark, against a team to be determined.

Angels ace Brock Johnson pitched a complete game, allowing no earned runs.

Offensively, Kirk McLeod laced three hits, including two doubles, while each of Phil Kirchner, Taylor Magnuson and Trevor Tappe had two hits.
