The Braves spoiled a sweep by the league-leading Angels with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning in the nightcap, to take the game 3-2.

DL made quick work of Bluffton in game one by scoring a 10 spot in the bottom of the first frame, as Trevor Tappe used the big cushion to take the win 11-4.

Phil Doll had the hot bat for the Angels, going 3-4 with a pair of RBIs, while Bryan Buhr collected two RBIs on one hit.

Mark Gulseth went 2-4 with an RBI, as DL finished with 11 hits to Bluffton's five.

In game two, the Braves mounted a three-run fifth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit against pitcher Brandon Johnson, who took the loss after allowing six hits, one walk and striking out four.

Chris Gilson and Doug Dickey each had a pair of hits in the loss, while the Angels managed just five hits total in the game.

The Angels (16-8) are just two games shy of win No. 100 since being re-established in 2007.

The team leads the Hi-10 League with an 11-4 record, with Bertha at 10-5.

If the Angels win Friday evening versus Bertha, they can collect their 100th victory Monday against visiting Frazee in the annual Fourth of July game, starting at 7 p.m.
