Area football players and coaches headed to Minnesota all-star game
FARGO – Six area football players are among the 89 players who will participate in the 40th annual Minnesota High School all-star football game.
Perham quarterback Jordan Hein, Pelican Rapids tight end Tucker Forsgren, Detroit Lakes defensive back Stephen Erb, Mahnomen linebacker Jacob Pavek and Barnesville defensive back Austin Martz are among the players selected for the North All-Stars.
Underwood defensive lineman Steffan Stroh made the South All-Stars.
Mahnomen coach John Clark Jr., Perham coach Mike Jordahl and Barnesville coach Bryan Strand will serve as assistant coaches for the North.
The game will be held June 29 at Husky Stadium on the campus of St. Cloud University at 1 p.m.
