Arthur Joseph "Joe" Sullivan, 76, of White Earth, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his daughter's home, under the care of Hospice.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1 in St. Benedict's Catholic Church, White Earth, with interment in Calvary Cemetery, White Earth.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth.
Arthur Joseph Sullivan, known as Joe, was born to Joseph and Lucille (Beaulieu) Sullivan on June 8, 1937 in White Earth. He was raised and educated in White Earth and served with the U. S. Army, 1954-57. Following his discharge, he moved to Minneapolis, where he worked for the railroad.
He moved to Climax, Minn., where he worked as a commercial painter. He returned to White Earth in 1990.
Joe enjoyed cutting his grass on his riding lawnmower, drawing and painting.
Survivors include four children, Anthony (LuAnn) of White Earth, Donna Sullivan of the Twin Cities, Julie (Brad) Heisler of White Earth and Tina Baity of Edina; numerous grandchildren; one brother, John L. (Lois) Sullivan of White Earth; eight sisters, Karen Schouviller of Ft. Atkinson, Wis., Sandra Revier of Callaway, Lucille Silk of White Earth, Maureen Sullivan of Mahnomen, Diane Loberg of Detroit Lakes, Loretta Sullivan of Strawberry Lake, Jeanne (Pat) Sullivan of Callaway amd Bev (Dick) Chastek of White Earth.
His two brothers, Kenneth and Terrance, preceded him in death.
