Artist receptions, gardening class at NYM Cultural Center
A free class in sustainable gardening and artist receptions are set for this weekend at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center.
Kathy Connell from Redfern Gardens will give the first of four free gardening classes at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The subjects include saving seeds, growing berries, growing transplants, and raised bed gardening.
Sustainable farmer are the subject of the photographs on exhibit in the Cultural Center’s ground floor gallery.
The photographer, Laurie Schneider, will be at the Center from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday to talk about her work documenting sustainable farming.
Staples-based artist Pam Collins will also be at the Center on Sunday, Feb. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m., to meet folks and talk about her images of Ireland seascapes done in watercolor and cloth and glass mosaic.
There is no charge for any of these events and everyone is welcome.
