Arvig buys SW Minn. telephone company
Arvig Enterprises and Home Telephone Company announced today that they have reached an agreement for Arvig Enterprises to acquire Home Telephone Company headquartered in Grand Meadow, Minn., which is located 25 miles south of Rochester.
Home Telephone Company currently maintains 1,780 telephone access lines, serves more than 600 Internet customers, and provides cable television service to approximately 300 subscribers through its subsidiary Southern Cablevision.

Home Telephone will continue to operate as a separate subsidiary of Arvig Enterprises and customers will continue to receive service from Home Telephone Company.
Home Telephone customers will not experience any changes or interruption in service as a result of the purchase, which will become effective upon receipt of required regulatory approvals.
