Audubon man hurt when bicycle hit by car

An Audubon man was injured Friday evening when the bicycle he was riding was sideswiped by a car on Highway 10.

Brian A. Jones, 36, was riding a bicycle on Highway 10 near County Road 15 when he swerved into traffic and was struck by a westbound 1994 Lincoln Continental, driven by Arvid L. Nelson, 71, of Lake Park.

Jones was transported to St. Mary's Innovis Health in Detroit Lakes for treatment of minor injuries, according to the State Patrol. Nelson was not injured.

St. Mary's EMS and Audubon Rescue assisted at the scene.

The accident was reported at 9:54 p.m. on dry pavement.
