Audubon woman dies in rollover
Authorities have released the name of an Audubon woman who was found dead Thursday morning following a one-vehicle rollover on County Road 1.
Michelle Ann Groth, 34, was apparently ejected from her 2003 Mercury SUV when it left the roadway and began overturning, according to the Becker County Sheriff's Department.
She was traveling southbound on County Road 1, near the intersection with County Road 6, north of Upper Cormorant Lake, when it went off the road and down a steep embankment.
Sheriff Tim Gordon said in a news release that the initial investigation indicates that she was not wearing a seat belt, and that the accident occurred "substantially earlier in the morning from the time we were notified about 7:25 a.m."
