Authorities find vehicle of man sought in connection with Granite Falls killing

BELVIEW, Minn. — Investigators have located a vehicle believed to be driven by Andrew Joseph Dikken, 28, of Granite Falls, the person of interest in a Monday shooting death Granite Falls.

According to the State Department of Public Safety, the 1996 GMC Sierra pickup was found in a remote location approximately five miles north of Belview, off of Redwood County Road 7, to the southeast of Granite Falls in west-central Minnesota.

Investigators are continuing to search for Dikken. Anyone with information about his location is asked to contact the Granite Falls Police Department, the Yellow Medicine Sheriff’s Office, or 911.

Dikken should not be approached as he may be armed and dangerous.

Kara Monson, 26, was found shot to death in her home Monday; another victim was being treated at a Minneapolis hospital.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in this active and ongoing investigation.
