Autopsy confirms man found floating in Lake Maud in August died from drowning
An autopsy has confirmed that a Fargo man who was found floating in a Minnesota lake in August died from drowning, Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon said.
Ronald Gabriel Price, 56, was discovered near the south shore of Lake Maud about 11:12 p.m. Aug. 16.
He was taken to St. Mary's Innovis Hospital in Detroit Lakes, but efforts to revive him were not successful.
Price had been relaxing on a floating chair prior to his body being found by his wife.
Due to the circumstances and the shallow water, it was unclear whether Price drowned or died from a medical condition.
This morning, Gordon said autopsy findings confirm Price drowned and the death is considered accidental.
Gordon said Price had spent much of that day doing heavy yard work, but it was unknown whether fatigue was a factor in his drowning.
