Bagley woman dies after apartment fire Tuesday

BAGLEY – A Bagley woman who was pulled from her burning apartment building Tuesday later died.

The fire at Parksview Apartments was reported at about 5 p.m. Tuesday. When crews arrived, the second floor was engulfed in flames, according to a press release.

The 92-year old woman was pulled from the apartment by the Bagley fire department and was taken to Sanford Hospital in Bagley.

The unidentified woman was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center where she “succumbed to her injuries,” the press release stated.

Apartment tenants were given temporary shelter by neighbors, families and friends. Housing has also been set up with assistance from the Clearwater County Department of Human Services and the county’s emergency management department.

The fire’s cause is still under investigation.
