Bail set at $200,000 on meth charges
Eric Christopher Bakke, 28, of rural Detroit Lakes appeared in Becker County District Court Tuesday on three separate files, the most serious being charges of felony first-degree controlled substance crime, possession, and felony possession of substances with intent to manufacture.
According to court records, on Oct. 2, a probation office and law enforcement search of a home on Woodcrest Boulevard in Becker County turned up 180 unpackaged pseudo ephedrine tablets allegedly purchased from several big box retail stories over several months.
While two other people had allegedly purchased the pills, Bakke is accused of being involved in making meth. He allegedly showed law enforcement officers where the secret drug lab was located.
He appeared Tuesday before District Judge Peter Irvine, who set bail or bond at $200,000 and set his next court appearance for Feb. 2.
