Bail set at $40,000 for man accused of violating sex offender registration law
Calvin Kenneth Tejohn, 26, of 1322 Grant Utley Ave., Cass Lake appeared in Becker County District Court Wednesday on a felony charge of violating the predatory offender registration law.
According to court records:
He was earlier convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and required to register as a sex offender until 2017. In March he was allegedly found to be living on County Road 21, White Earth, and he is accused of having lived there since December without notifying authorities as required.
On Wednesday, District Judge Peter Irvine set bail or bond at $40,000 and authorized him to be released from jail to continue attending college classes in Mahnomen, at the discretion of the Becker County Sheriff's Department.
An omnibus hearing is set for April 27.
