Bail set at $50,000 in meth case
A Detroit Lakes man will make his next court appearance June 23 on two felony counts of drug possession and sale.
Randy Garza, 20, of 701 Highway 34, Apt. 4, as charged with one felony count of first degree sale of a controlled substance, and another felony count of second degree drug possession.
The charges stem from a May 20 incident in which agents of the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force and the Becker County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at his home.
They allegedly found 22.2 grams of a substance later identified as methamphetamine, as well as packaging items, a digital scale and various items used to inject substances into the bloodstream.
Approximately $1,600 in cash was also found inside a cigarette pack at the residence.
He appeared May 21 before District Judge Joe Evans, who set bail or bond at $50,000, with conditions.
The defendant remains in custody at this time. His next court appearance is set for June 23.
