The Becker County Historical Society will host its annual meeting and dinner at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, in the Historic Holmes Theatre Ballroom, 826 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes.
This marks the 65th Anniversary of the Becker County Museum, which was established in 1943 and started in the lower level of the Becker County Courthouse.
A lot has changed over the years; this is a great chance to reflect on the deep history of our area and how the Becker County Museum has been a part of it.
Everyone is invited to join the Becker County Historical Society for a night of food, entertainment, a silent auction and history.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the Becker County Museum, 714 Summit Avenue, Detroit Lakes.
The Becker County Museum & Research Library is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Please visit the Web site at BeckerCountyHistory.org or call the museum for more information.
If you would like to be a member of the Becker County Historical Society or to donate to the Silent Auction please contact Carrie Johnston at 218-847-2938.
