Beltrami County looking at mental health transport options
BEMIDJI -- A Beltrami County Board-led task force was charged Tuesday with finding alternatives to transport mental health patients once the Sheriff's Department stops doing so on Jan. 1.
"We can't as a county keep this service going," County Board Chairman Jim Lucachick said Tuesday as commissioners and medical and social services providers discussed alternatives.
