Bemidji child’s death under investigation

BEMIDJI -- The death of a 4-year-old Thursday morning is under investigation in Bemidji.

At 9:57 a.m. Bemidji police, ambulance and firefighters responded to a medical call on the 2700 block of Birchmont Drive NE. Upon arrival emergency personnel assisted with CPR of a 4-year-old child, according to a release issued by the Bemidji Police Department. The child was transported to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center where efforts to revive the child were unsuccessful.

At this time, the cause of death appears accidental, however the incident is under investigation by the Bemidji Police Department.
