Bemidji man dead following Hubbard County accident
A Bemidji man was pronounced dead Saturday morning following an accident on Hubbard County Road 9 in Fern Township.
A deputy found the driver, Brent Allen Holm, 35, under a totally damaged vehicle, according to Hubbard County Sheriff Gary Mills. After an extrication process, Holm was pronounced dead.
The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office received a report of a vehicle in the ditch at 5:59 a.m. Saturday. The reporting party did not have any information regarding occupants or injuries, according to Mills.
A deputy immediately responded, located the vehicle and, upon further investigation, located Holm underneath it, according to Mills.
Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji was contacted and transported the victim to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office in St. Paul, where an autopsy has been scheduled.
Also called to the scene were Becida First Responders, Bemidji Ambulance Service, Bemidji Fire Department, Lake George Fire Department and Lake George First Responders.
The crash remains under investigation, with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol.
