Bemidji Women's Expo scheduled for Aug. 29
The third annual Bemidji Women's Expo is scheduled Saturday, Aug. 29, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the John Glas Fieldhouse on the campus of Bemidji State University.
Jackie Pflug, an EgyptAir hijacking survivor, will present the keynote address at 3:15 p.m. Nineteen seminars are scheduled throughout the day on topics such as health, fitness, organizing, food and fashion. Door prizes will be awarded after Pflug's program.
Nearly 100 vendors will be on hand to show and sell products.
The Expo is sponsored by the Bemidji Pioneer with title support from Bemidji State University, North Country Health Services, MeritCare Bemidji, Northwest Technical College, Paul Bunyan Telephone, Novartis and Honda of Bemidji.
Tickets are available by calling the Bemidji Pioneer office at 218-333-9200. They may be purchased in advance for $6 each or $5 for groups of 10 or more. They also will be available at the door for $10 each.
