Border leaders endorse Jeff Johnson for governor -- Moorhead City Councilwoman Brenda Elmer and businessman Steve Scheel back Johnson
Moorhead, MN—Two prominent Moorhead-area leaders are throwing their weight behind Jeff Johnson’s bid for governor.
Citing the special concerns of border cities, Moorhead City Councilwoman Brenda Elmer and Moorhead businessman Steve Scheel, President of Scheels, urged Minnesotans to vote for Republican endorsed candidate for Governor Jeff Johnson.
“Jeff Johnson understands the importance of a competitive small business, which is magnified in border communities like ours. The last four years, our state policies have made Minnesota less friendly to small business owners and I believe Jeff Johnson will greatly improve Moorhead’s competitiveness, strengthen our economy and bring jobs back to Minnesota” said Brenda Elmer.
“I have known Jeff since our days working together on the Concordia College Board of Regents, and think he would make an excellent governor,” said Steve Scheel, President of Scheels.
Both Scheel and Elmer urged voters to go to the polls and vote for Johnson in the August 12th primary.
