Boys Hockey: Lakers pummel Flyers

Email News Alerts

The Detroit Lakes boys’ hockey team found plenty of open ice against Bagley/Fosston Friday and they scored early, then again…and again…and again.

After Sam Boomgarden’s goal just 3:04 into the game against the Flyers, the Lakers kept at it for 19 more goals in a 20-0 blowout, which also had DL outshooting Bagley/Fosston 66-6.

Sophomore goalie Austin Fritz made his varsity debut and collected his first shutout of his one-game career with six saves.
