Briggs, Ramstad & Skoyles adds attorney
Lisa M. Tufts has joined the law firm of Briggs, Ramstad & Skoyles, PA as an associate attorney. Her areas of practice include wills and trusts, estate planning, elder law, family law and environmental law.
Tufts grew up 70 miles east of Detroit Lakes in Hackensack, Minn. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bemidji State University and her Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law.
Among her accomplishments, Tufts completed her legal studies by attending law school in St. Paul on the weekends, while being employed full-time at the Becker County Zoning Office.
She brings 11 years of planning and zoning experience with her as well as six years of real estate appraisal knowledge. She also has experience in determining medical assistance eligibility.
Tufts' life experiences result in an empathetic perspective on many legal issues.
She is a member of the Noon Kiwanis Club and actively participates in Wills for Heroes, an estate planning service for first responders.
Briggs, Ramstad & Skoyles PA has been serving the region since 1908 as a close-knit family of attorneys and support staff who enjoy serving clients and the community. Tufts will join attorneys Bill Briggs, Charlie Ramstad, & Karen Skoyles in the firm's offices at 114 Holmes St. West in Detroit Lakes, just north of the Becker County Court House.
